Maple Sugaring Open House at PPL’s Montour Preserve

Join us for our annual maple sugaring open house at PPL’s Montour Preserve on Saturday, Feb. 25 from noon to 4 p.m.

Montour Preserve staff members will begin this program on the hour (noon, 1, 2 and 3 p.m.) discussing the natural and cultural history of making maple sugar. There will also be a short film on maple sugaring. After this portion of the program there will be a short walk through Goose Woods to the Sugar Shack where participants will learn more about the maple sugaring process. Maple products will be available for purchase here. Scouts, 4-H and other groups are welcome to attend. Dress for the weather and a short walk outdoors.
