Susquehanna Greenway Photo Contest Deadline Looms

in
February 1, 2012

With a looming deadline of Feb. 29, the Susquehanna Greenway Partnership's annual "Treasured Towns and Landscapes" photo contest remains open for budding photographers.

Categories include Landscape, River Town, Wildlife, or Children's photos that celebrate the Susquehanna River as a special place to treasure. While the river is often a beautiful and inviting resource, it is still part of a natural and dynamic water system. This year the Partnership added a September 2011 Flood Category so that perspectives on the unforgettable flooding of 2011 can be shared.

First, second, and third place cash prizes will be awarded in each of the five categories; one first place winner will receive the grand prize title, along with an additional $50. There is no limit to the number of photographs that can be submitted.

To be eligible, take a photo in one of the 22 Greenway counties: Bradford, Cambria, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Indiana, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Luzerne, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Susquehanna, Union, Wyoming and York.
