Discover Wild Turkeys at PPL’s Montour Environmental Preserve

The public is invited for discussions and activities about turkeys from 1:30-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at PPL’s Montour Environmental Preserve. PPL Senior Naturalist Jon Beam and Naturalist Amanda Jenkins will discuss nearly everything there is to know about turkeys from how they make their living to how they almost became our national symbol. Lake Chillisquaque Reopened

Lake Chillisquaque reopened to boating and fishing late this morning. Picnic areas are also open as is the Visitors Center. Trails, however, will be closed for repair and maintenance until possibly September 26. Programs will continue as scheduled.

Lake Chillisquaque Now Open

The Chilisuagi Trail that goes around the lake is now open again for public use.

 

"Everything is now open and getting back to normal," Jon Beam, Montour Preserve Program Director said.
