PPL’s Susquehanna Riverlands Celebrates the History of Canals

Join us as the history of canals comes alive at PPL’s Susquehanna Riverlands on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 2-3:30 p.m.

Old photos, songs and a hands-on demonstration will bring the history of canals to life. Steve Runkle will present this historical program and will review the region’s canal systems as well as their engineering and construction. He will also talk about canal boats and the lifestyles of families working on the canals.
